Most people experience some sort of anxiety on their wedding day. There are many reasons for it, some good, some not so good. How one decides to handle it will have a great impact on whether it's a good day or a bad day. Some people are scared to be in front of others. It's the same feeling as needing to give a speech in front of a lot of people. This kind of anxiety can be hard to overcome, but it shouldn't be anything that keeps you from going through with your wedding. Some people get tongue-tied, or freeze up under tense situations. It's almost like taking a test, which some people just can't handle. And yet, you end up working your way through the test, whether you do well or not.General anxiety on its own should have no bearing on any person's wedding day. That's why there is a maid of honor and a best man. Hopefully you've chosen someone you can talk to in those final hours and minutes, someone you can trust, someone who will be there to back you up and give you encouragement. Weddings aren't always perfect; as a matter of fact, they're rarely perfect. Some wedding have had some drastic events happen; others have small events that mean nothing in the long term. Many women and men have even passed out at their own wedding. The thing is, they always wake up, then push forward. Of course, there are those other times when it's just not going to go off. Either the bride or groom decides, for whatever reason, that they just can't go through with it. Overall, it's better to not get married and have to go through all sorts of legal loopholes in getting out of it than to go through with one you'll immediately regret. At the same time, it will be devastating so many people, especially the person you're supposed to be getting married to, and, in almost all cases, that will pretty much end any relationship the two of you had with each other. The worst case scenario for anyone is to be left at the altar without knowing what's going on. At that time, no one knows if one party has called the wedding off or if something bad has happened. It's devastating if one party or the other decides not to accept the vows of marriage at the last second and walks off, but at least the other party knows it just wasn't meant to be.Anxiety is a hard emotion to deal with under normal circumstances. It's more intense when it involves a life altering decision. It's always best if you can talk about your anxieties way before the day you're supposed to be getting married. It can save a lot of time, money, and heartache.
