On a dull day In 2007 I picked up a book called " NLP The New Technology of Acheivement by Steve Andreas and Charles Faulkner. This book had been sitting on my bookshelf for years gathering dust, however a strong feeling made me pick it up. At this particular time I was suffering from anxiety and panic attacks, I was feeling as if nothing could help me get out of this circle of anxiety. I started to read the book and couldn´t put it down, this was my first contact with NLP. I wish that I had read it many years before but maybe I just wasn´t ready, maybe I would have put it away forever. I don´t want to look back with regret because you can´t change the past but you can change the future.
NLP has not competely changed my life (not yet) but it has changed me. My anxiety attacks have gone, my self esteem has gone up and my views about life and how to live life has changed. NLP gives you the tools to cope with difficult circumstances like anxiety and panic. It is a learning curve and you will need to inform yourself but I can assure you that when you do you will not be let down.
When you start applying NLP you don´t work on the symptoms of the conditions but you start to change issues that are much deeper and therefore the results are permanent. Anxiety can be cured because you learn to change your focus and your beliefs about yourself. There are many anxiety treatments on the market but NLP helps you to create positive changes in your life, it does not just help you with anxiety but also with all the other areas that you may need help with. Since that dull day in 2007, everyday is now bright!
